Religious Spots in RamgarhThe ancient city of Ramgarh is situated in Jharkhand state of India. Rajrappa Temple in RamgarhMaa Chhinmastika temple is situated about 28 Km away from Ramgarh and on the confluence of rivers Bhairavi and Damodar. The name of this temple has also been found in Puranas and Vedas. It is a very famous pilgrimage spot for the Hindus. Large number of people especially those from Bengal, Bihar and Jharkhand can be seen visiting the temple quite often. The architectural design that can be seen here is somewhat similar to the Kamakhya temple that is situated in Assam. During the marriage season lot of marriages takes place here. Several other temples have also been built around the main temple such as Mahavidyas temple, Lord Shiva temple, Sun God temple, Maa Kali temple, Hanuman temple and so on. The confluence of the two rivers Damodar and Bhairavi in Rajrappa is considered as union of Goddess Shakti and God Shiva and is considered very sacred.
The hot water spring near the river is an added attraction too. Many people bath in the river before offering prayers to the Lord. This place is not only a great pilgrimage spot but also a good place to go on a picnic with friends and families with good food and lots of fun amidst beautiful green valleys, rocky hills and lot of natural beauty. Everything that is required for a picnic is available there. There are bus services between Rajrappa and Ramgarh. One needs to get down at Ramgarh Cantonment if traveling via train and then take a jeep to reach the temple. Vaishno Devi Mandir in RamgarhThe temple Vaishno Devi is situated in the heart of the city Ramgarh. Established in the year 1991, this temple has become very famous and visited by many devotees from all across the country. A lamp can always be seen burning year since the year of its establishment. This light is said to have been bought from Jwalajee which is situated in Himachal Pradesh. The idol of Vaishno Devi brims with vitality and life here. It is said that offering prayers before any important work is considered auspicious by one and all as the work gets done almost in all the cases. Those who want to stay here can look for accommodation in Dharmashala that lies near the temple.
Gurudwara Singh Sawa in RamgarhEstablished as early as 1940 by the Sikh community of the city, this Gurudwara initially was just a small room till it was expanded. Now the Gurudwara stand tall on Shivajee road of the city Ramgarh. It has got minarets and great towers. The architecture taht can be found inside the Gurudwara is something to marvel at.
Tooti Jharna Temple in RamgarhThe temple of Tooti Jharna is situated in Ranchi - Patna highway. It’s a temple of Lord Shiva. There is a Shiva Linga in the temple which is worshiped by all the devotees. The water that continuously falls in the Shiva Linga is from a nearby river. Reaching the temple is no problem at all. It is very near to Digwar village. Most of the villagers can be seen coming to this temple every day to pray to the lord. The festival Shivratri is celebrated with great pomp and show here.
Kaitha Shiv Mandir in RamgarhThis temple where Lord Shiva was worshiped was build during the year 1670 . The location of the temple is on NH-23 and easily accessible.The sculpture of this temple is breathtaking. And very attractive. The Shiva Linga in the temple can be accessed by climbing two stairs. It is said that the King of Ramgarh once upon a time used the temple for various military purpose. It has been declared as a National Monument. Currently it is in dilapidated condition .
Apart from the above religious places one can also visit Kher Math where statue of Gautam Buddha is there. Tourists can also visit Mayatungri Temple situated at a distance of 5 km from Ramgarh. The festival of Karma is celebrated with gaiety here.
